Serra das Meadas Biological Park

The Biological Park is situated in the Meadas Range, about 7km from the centre of Lamego, and is a zone of great biodiversity, making it an area of great importance for the preservation of species for its unique and humanised characteristics.
 
It aims to raise awareness of environmental problems and issues about the preservation of species. Its great variety of flora and fauna will captivate any Nature lover.
 
Lamego City Council is investing in some facilities to improve the work done here, to enhance the conditions for keeping animals and for receiving visitors. The works include new wildlife enclosures, improvements to existing ones, a picnic area, a visitor centre, a services pavilion and the preparation of new routes.
