Quinta do Vallado

Right in the heart of the Douro, half a dozen kilometres from the historical centre of Régua, Quinta do Vallado straddles both banks of the River Corgo at its confluence with the Douro. With a history dating back to 1716, the Quinta belonged to the legendary Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, and has remained in the family, now in its sixth generation, to this day. With 38 hectares of vineyards, aged between 6 and 10 years, offset by 26 hectares of the best vineyard plots over 60 years old, João Ferreira Álvares Ribeiro, Francisco Ferreira and Francisco Olazabal have achieved a level of quality recognised by the most diverse international bodies.
