José da Silva Viseu de Carvalho represents the third generation of a family – ship’s masters for an administration – traditionally brought up on ancestral values, such as friendship, hospitality and the word of the Douro man.
 
To share and enjoy this paradise, we have rebuilt the farmhouse for you, a 19th century refuge, which in the old days served as a barn for agricultural tools, dried fruit and animal feed. Refurbished in 1991, the Quinta’s owners live here. Built in schist and granite, it occupies two floors. It features three double bedrooms for guests, a common lounge and a spacious dining room. Family memorabilia and furniture from the early 20th century dominate the decoration.
